E-commerce website development is the process of building an online store where customers can browse products, add them to a cart, and pay — covering product catalogue, checkout, payment gateways, shipping rules, order management, and search optimisation.

The first decision is the platform. WooCommerce, Shopify, and custom builds each suit a different type of business, and choosing wrong is expensive to undo later.

At Webeez Digital we build on all three. We look at what you sell, your budget, your monthly running costs, and who manages the store afterwards — then recommend the platform that actually fits. Online store projects start from PKR 65,000 and take 20 to 25 working days.

Most agencies in Pakistan recommend whichever platform they happen to build on. We build on all of them, so our recommendation is based on your business rather than our convenience.

01

Choose WooCommerce if...

You want no monthly platform fee, full control over your code and data, deep content and blog integration, or lower long-term running costs. It suits businesses with fewer than a few hundred products, anyone already on WordPress, and owners watching monthly expenses closely.

02

Choose Shopify if...

You want everything managed for you, no hosting or security to worry about, faster setup, and predictable monthly costs. It suits fast-growing stores, dropshipping businesses, and owners who do not want to touch technical settings.

03

Choose a custom build if...

You have unusual requirements, complex pricing rules, ERP or inventory system integration, or B2B wholesale functionality that neither platform handles cleanly.

If you are unsure, send us a message describing what you sell. We will tell you which platform we would use and why — even if the answer means a smaller project for us.

Development is a one-time cost. Running the store is forever, and in Pakistan the difference between platforms adds up quickly.

Shopify charges a monthly subscription starting at around $25 for the Basic plan. In rupees that is roughly PKR 7,400 every month, or close to PKR 89,000 a year, before you add a single app. Premium themes cost $250 to $400 one time, and third-party payment gateways in Pakistan add around 2% per order.

WooCommerce has no platform subscription. You pay for hosting, which starts around PKR 3,000 to 8,000 per month for a store, plus any premium plugins you need. The software itself is free.

For a small Lahore business selling locally, that difference is real money. For a store scaling fast internationally, Shopify’s managed infrastructure is often worth the fee.

We give you a full monthly cost breakdown for both options before you decide.

A store that cannot take money is not a store.

Most international payment options are unavailable or impractical for Pakistani merchants. PayPal is not usable for most local accounts. Stripe requires a registered company. Shopify Payments is not available in Pakistan at all.

What we set up instead:

JazzCash and EasyPaisa, the two mobile wallets most Pakistani customers actually use, with over 40 million and 55 million registered users respectively.

Bank card gateways through HBL, Bank Alfalah, Meezan, UBL, MCB, and Allied Bank.

Cash on Delivery, still the dominant payment method in Pakistan, configured with order verification so you are not shipping to fake orders.

International gateways alongside local ones if you sell to the US, UK, or Gulf markets.

Every payment method is tested with real transactions before your store goes live.

Taking the order is half the job. Getting it delivered is the other half, and it is where most Pakistani online stores lose money.

We integrate the couriers your business actually uses — TCS, Leopards, M&P, Trax, and PostEx — so orders flow from your store into the courier system without manual entry.

We set up shipping zones and rates for local, national, and international delivery, configure COD reconciliation so you can track which orders have been paid for, add order tracking so customers stop calling to ask where their parcel is, and set return and exchange workflows before you need them.

WooCommerce or Shopify — which is better for my business?

WooCommerce is better if you want no monthly platform fee, full control over your code and data, and lower long-term running costs, and you are comfortable with hosting being managed for you. Shopify is better if you want everything handled automatically, faster setup, and predictable monthly costs. For most small Pakistani businesses selling locally, WooCommerce works out cheaper over time. For fast-growing or dropshipping stores, Shopify is usually simpler.

How much does an e-commerce website cost in Pakistan?

Development at Webeez Digital starts at PKR 65,000 for a starter store and PKR 120,000 for a full business store with courier and payment integration. Running costs depend on the platform: Shopify charges a subscription starting around $25 per month, while WooCommerce has no platform fee but requires hosting from around PKR 3,000 to 8,000 per month.

How long does it take to build an online store?

A starter store with up to 25 products takes 7 to 10 working days. A full business store with custom design, multiple payment gateways, and courier integration takes 20 to 25 working days. Timelines start once the advance is paid and product content has been provided.

Can I accept Cash on Delivery on my store?

Yes. Cash on Delivery is still the most used payment method in Pakistan and we configure it on every store that needs it, including order verification steps to reduce fake orders and COD reconciliation so you can track which orders have actually been paid.

Which payment methods can I offer my customers?

JazzCash, EasyPaisa, bank card payments through HBL, Bank Alfalah, Meezan, UBL, MCB, and Allied Bank, Cash on Delivery, and international gateways if you sell abroad. We set up and test each one before launch.

Can you connect my store to TCS or Leopards?

Yes. We integrate TCS, Leopards, M&P, Trax, and PostEx so orders move from your store into the courier system automatically, with tracking numbers sent back to your customers.

Can you move my existing store to a different platform?

Yes. We migrate between WooCommerce, Shopify, Wix, Magento, and custom platforms, transferring products, variants, images, customers, and order history, and setting up URL redirects so your existing Google rankings are not lost.

Will my online store show up on Google?

Every store we build includes SEO setup — optimised product and category pages, schema markup, image alt text, clean URLs, and Google Search Console submission. Ranking for competitive product terms takes three to six months and usually needs ongoing SEO work, which we offer separately.

Can I manage the store myself after handover?

Yes. Both WooCommerce and Shopify are designed to be managed without a developer. We hand over full admin access and record a walkthrough showing you how to add products, process orders, and update content.

Do you provide support after launch?

Every store includes 30 days of free support covering bugs and technical issues from our work. Ongoing maintenance, product uploads, and store management are available under a separate monthly arrangement.

Tell us what you sell, where your customers are, and what you want to spend monthly. We will recommend a platform, give you a fixed price and timeline, and show you the full running costs — before you commit to anything.
